In addition to working with GKollaborative, Debbie is the President of DMP Associates. Her last position was Associate Vice President for Advancement & Alumni Affairs for the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine at FIU. She was recently honored by the South Florida Business Journal as one of the Forty under Forty recipients for her achievements in the South Florida community, which include raising $100 million for the FIU Wertheim College of Medicine.
Debbie has more than 18 years of development experience. In 2006, she founded her own fundraising consulting firm, DMP Associates where she serviced several organizations in all aspects of fundraising including board development, campaign feasibility, major gift programs and assessments while working on assignments for various institutions including Miami Dade College and FIU.
Previously, she served as Director of Development with Florida International University (FIU) College of Health and Urban Affairs, where she managed major gift activities that resulted in over $5 million dollars from individuals, corporations and foundations. Previously, she served as the Associate Director of Development, Corporate and Individual Giving for the Zoological Society of Florida, Director of Development for the Hope Center and Fundraising Campaign Manager for America Developing Smiles.
Debbie holds a BA in Political Science from Pitzer College and a masters degree in International Political Economy from Claremont Graduate University. She is fluent in Spanish and Italian. She is a member of AFP, CASE and the GIA AAMC.
