Susan Galler

Senior Strategist: Fundraising, Campaigns, Board Development

After more than 20 years as a successful senior fundraiser and nonprofit manager, Susan founded The Galler Group in 1997 to provide executive recruitment, fundraising counsel and strategic planning expertise to leading nonprofit organizations. Since that time, the reach of services and professional resource base of The Galler Group has greatly expanded to better serve a national audience, with a second office opened in Miami, Florida in addition to its original location in Newton, Massachusetts.

Prior to founding The Galler Group, Susan served as Senior Vice President of Development for Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, a primary Harvard University teaching hospital, and as Director of Development for WGBH, a pre-eminent broadcasting station within the PBS network.

Susan has served as President of Women in Development, the largest association for fundraising professionals in New England. She also has served as a board member for the Wang Center for the Performing Arts, the Jewish Women’s Archives, Planned Giving Group of New England, and the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Massachusetts Chapter, and as an Overseer for the DeCordova Museum and the Celebrity Series. She is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and workshops.

Susan holds a BA in English from Harvard College.
